Everyone knows how important making a good first impression is, and looking your best at all times is one of the most crucial aspects of doing so. To facilitate that, there’s often a lot of focus on hitting the right weight, wearing the nicest clothes, nailing any makeup or accessories you might have on, and getting a great haircut.

While those are certainly integral aspects of looking as good as you possibly can, it will all be for naught if your skin isn’t healthy. Pale, dry, blemished, or otherwise neglected skin will always leave you looking a bit worse for wear. You can easily avoid this by following the skin care tips below!
Rinsing
First up, you need to rinse your face daily. You should also use colder water, contrary to the popular assumption. This will give the oils in your skin just enough resistance to maintain a healthy level. Without adequate rinsing, you’re opening yourself up to acne breakouts and a host of other skin issues.
Exfoliation
You should also exfoliate your skin, preferably two times a week if possible. This removes any of the dry skin cells that are left behind after routine washing and the regular wear and tear of each day. Again, your pores will easily become overly clogged if you neglect to do so. You have to find the right balance between applying enough pressure to remove the excess skin cells without being overly rough of course, but you’ll be left with smoother, cleaner, and overall better looking skin once you’ve hit your stride with whatever exfoliator product works for you.
Moisturizing
You’ve likely heard the phrase “you must moisturize” thrown around whenever older people happen to look particularly young. There’s a giant clue about good skin care within that joke; moisturizing is just about the next best thing there is to the fountain of youth outside of the “boring stuff” like diet, exercise, and taking your vitamins! Speaking of which, vitamins are actually the main aspect of what makes the best moisturizer creams on the market worth their salt. As long as you choose a brand with the likes of vitamin E and other essential oils on the ingredients list, you should be set.
To make the best use of your moisturizer, use it in combination with your rinsing routine. Right before bed is a wonderful time, and be sure to do so when your face is still a bit wet in order to keep in even more moisture. With daily usage, you should notice a difference in your skin’s appearance very quickly.
Watch What You Eat And Drink
Speaking of the aforementioned “boring stuff”, you really do have to watch what you eat and drink to make sure your skin is healthy. If you have an improperly balanced diet, you’re going to age much more rapidly. Drinking everything else under the sun but water will also leave you dehydrated. That in turn gives your skin a dried out, almost wrinkly appearance, so make sure to eat well and drink plenty of water every single day!
